TEACHING
Teaching has always been a passion for John. Currently, he maintains saxophone studios at California State University-Fullerton, The Colburn School in Los Angeles, and Irvine Valley College. Additionally, he directs saxophone master classes and saxophone ensemble at the Orange County School of the Arts, and works with saxophone sections in schools all across Southern California. John's students range from beginner to advance saxophonists of all ages, and many have gone on to successfully auditioned into leading university-level music programs, honor bands, summer music festivals, have taken top prizes in major music competitions, and have gone on to pursue careers in music.

Students have been accepted into Stanford University, Columbia University, Northwestern University, University of California-Los Angeles, University of Southern California, Johns Hopkins University, University of Michigan, University of Iowa, Vanderbilt University, and multiple California State Universities for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. They have continuously made principal chairs in the All-State and All-Southern California Honor bands, the Pacific Symphony Youth Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, and have won top prizes in national and international competitions.
